The research monograph, entitled ‘Mental Health Nursing; from the outside, looking in’, was self-published by White Winstanley Ltd on 21 February 2020.

Dr Edward White [Director] and co-editor, Dr Charles Brooker, analysed the independent contributions submitted to them by twelve highly experienced mental health nurses. They were invited to write commentaries on key historical events, affecting mental health service provision, over the last 20 years or so and relate them to the likely future direction of mental health nursing in the United Kingdom.

Dr White suspects that many, if not most, of the issues raised in the monograph, may resonate with MHN’s beyond the UK and hopes that their collective endeavour will help to stimulate an international discussion.
